Alex came by my place and set up my new Vivint system and he did an amazing job! He walked us through the system and made sure to let us know what he’s working on and even recommended some other things that would be really good for us! Thank you Alex. Also I would like to give Harley and review on how amazing he was on the phone. He helped sign me up as a first time customer and explained everything so well for me. I’m very satisfied with Vivint service and its workers! Thank you so much

Decent experience up until I moved and sold my home with the security system included, then it turned into a nightmare from hell. When I called and told them I had sold my house, the person incorrectly told me I didn't need to do anything to cancel my account down and sent me on my way. Then I started getting calls from Vivint about past due balances. Then they sent it to a collection agency and when I tried to call Vivint to figure it out I was told they would call me back within 24 hours. They were trying to charge me for "Balance due on equipment" even though I purchased all of my equipment outright when I bought the system. After calling them 6+ times and getting absolutely nowhere, nobody ever called me back. I gave up and paid the collection agency so I didn't take a hit on my credit. I will NEVER use any vivint services again and will discourage anyone I know from getting a system with them.

No real issues with equipment but more the back and forth with the buy out program. Logan or the buy out team really let me down in their communication and promises. Logan said he would take care of the remaining balance on our buy out which was over 2 grand. Texting was pointless cause I got no reply. Logan did answer his phone and said he would approve the extra money. But the buy out guys said they had no email or anything from him saying it was approved. I called him again and he said he sent an email so someone is lying to me. They were able to increase my amount for the program which I am grateful for, but I am still stuck with the remaining balance. Just wish reps would follow through. Needless to say I am now very warry of contracts of any kind and hesitate to recommend.

I’ve been a customer since 2017. And I just feel like it’s time for an upgrade. I’ve tried to cancel my account five separate times now and spent countless number of hours on the phone with them and all they do is just keep wasting my time. Everything about this company is shady when it comes to you trying to terminate your account. I no longer have a contract so I don’t understand why as a consumer. I don’t have the right to call and say I don’t wanna do this anymore and they just say OK. Before you sign up so many more options out there Vivint not worth your time

Paid for service upfront LIKE THEY SAID.
Was lied to about why the couldn’t come the next day. Only to find out from one of the managers one of the guys closed his tickets EARLY. Manager apologized and said we would get us rescheduled just for nobody to call us back and just for us to find out we were never scheduled. It’s been 5 days since I’ve been trying to get someone to come out or to even speak to someone who actually knows what they’re doing. Nobody there can take charge it’s just a bunch of cants or I don’t know. Do better instead of trying to scam people out of money. I would never ever recommend this place! I’m sure the product is as bad as the service.

I have had Vivint for a few years. And from the start I have had issues. If it’s not one thing it’s another! It is so frustrating to know how much money you have put into your system and the monthly fee on top of that. For something to always not be working properly. Oh but you still have to pay an additional $100 if you want someone from Vivint to come figure out why their equipment isn’t working AGAIN! I regret it with my whole soul ever being with them and spending so much money and my TIME trying to figure out why something isn’t working!!!

Sign up for Vivint and good luck ever getting their call center to actually let you cancel. First of all there’s no option to cancel online or via the app (red flag #1 that this company hates losing any business they actually got). You’re forced to call into a business line. So I called, and they were closed for the day. Yes, they outsource their call centers around the world but apparently you can only call during specific US business hours. So another day I call and the call center can’t hear me talking. Goes on for several mins. So I hang up. I call back. I get transferred 3 times. Why in heavens name doesn’t the automated number have a number to press to cancel my service? Outsourced call center now asking me for a “verbal Vivint passcode”, which I’ve never heard of before. Later they send me an email to verify me and my “verbal passcode” is the 4 digit code I imputed into my Vivint terminal at my home. I don’t know why they would call that a verbal passcode.

They have 2 home addresses in their system (1 I’ve never heard of) and they are trying to “verify” me in many other ways. This is absurd. They know my cc, name, email and phone number. They keep charging me a fee monthly, just stop charging me. I’m not in a contract with them. I’m not asking to move this or change the service. Just cancel it. This isn’t me trying to land on the moon, why does it feel that hard?

We all use service companies and subscriptions in our daily life now and we have ample examples of how to make this simple and easy and straightforward. Whatever the opposite is of that, that’s Vivint. They should take a page out of other companies that make this simple and straightforward. Any company that can’t figure out how to easily remove you from their system isn’t worth joining in the first place. It’s a major red flag that they are intentionally doing all they can to force you to keep paying for services you do not want.

Toward the end of a nearly 30 min call the service rep kept telling me things like “I’m preparing the documents” and “I will go over the disclosures”…he even asked me randomly again “do you want to stop your service?”

You then have to give a verbal “yes” to proceed for them to read their cancellation. They then read you other statements that you have to say “yes” to. Now I’m back on hold while they again “prepare the documents”…are we drafting a new constitution or something? This is maddening and hilarious at the same time.

At the end of the 30 min call he then says “someone from the internal team will contact you in 5 to 7 days after they review this request”. I then ask them why this phone call doesn’t suffice, why do they get to review my request again and have to call me back? What a waste…or is it just another sales tactic to try and call me back and prevent me from cancelling?

And the email I just got says it can take 30 days to cancel and they will be charging me for a portion of that time. Also notice how this email says I still have to email/mail or fax them a cancellation? So the phone call was pointless? What is going on? Wild. Absolutely wild how complicated they’re making this.
