First, moving is the most underappreciated service you can buy. Most people think you can buy some box, borrow a friend’s truck and it just happens. It isn’t until you pay for a hernia surgery or five visits to your chiropractor - you truly appreciate what these guys can do for you.

Mayberry’s Moving and Storage are hands down the most professional people I have ever worked with both personally and professionally. I’ve used Mayberry’s three times personally and we use them professionally, all the time. The Mayberry’s team are always polite, proficient and conscientious to a point that I have never been disappointed in their service, over 20 years.

As a home owner you get the benefit of having commercial grade movers work in your residential space. This means, these guys are practicing the craft of moving 5 days a week with large local business who are very demanding and have difficult items to move. So; your kitchen table, TV or sectional couch is no big deal for these guys.

In short, they are beyond AWESOME and essential if you need to move from point A to point B with ease and grace.

I contracted Mayberry to receive freight for our business. They sent over their rates and after they received the first piece of freight they sent over a bill, which was different from what the contract had stated so I very respectfully sent an email asking for clarification. They responded to the email with a phone call and an email explaining how they bill. I was out of the office a little that week because it was the last week of summer and I had 4 kids at home so I was working early in the mornings and late at nights so I never returned the phone call but did respond to the email explaining this and stating that I understood how they were charging (even though it was different than what the quote said) and that I was fine with it. I receive no response - what I did receive was a call from a trucking company saying that my freight had been refused and it was on its way back to North Carolina. The freight industry is very slow right now and this was something that I had already been waiting 2 weeks for and now I am being told that its going to take another 2 weeks for me to have the freight redelivered so I am going to have the added expense of getting a flight and renting a truck and having one of my guys drive it back. When I called I explained to Jason that I was not very happy and he said that I could only speak with Jim about this but that he was out of the office. I then received an email later that day that said effective immediately they no longer were going to be working with designers. It is clear to me that because I questioned a charge they just didn't want to be bothered with me, but what kind of service is that? I never said that I wasn't paying or was rude I just asked for clarification. I also signed a contract with them to receive my freight, they received 1 piece and then decided that I wasn't going to be worth their time and refused my next shipment costing my business time and money. I had a contract with them and they decided with no warning to stop honoring that contract. VERY BAD BUSINESS. I would discourage anyone and everyone from using them, would they decide in the middle of a move that this project was not worth their time and walk off the job because that is basically what the did to me. I don't know how a moving and storage company could be so disrespectful of someones stuff when their whole business model is based around taking care of peoples stuff. I am very disappointed in the level of service and professionalism of this company but more than that the lack of integrity that it took to refuse something that you knew was going to effect someones else's business just speaks volumes for what this business is really about. Because of the nature of my business I have worked with and recommended Moving and Storage companies for the past 15 years with my clients. The good ones will go the extra mile to make sure their client is happy and the job goes smoothly. They will put the client first, that is NOT what this company is going to do and I would recommend anyone looking to use them LOOK somewhere else. DO NOT USE THEM. Their word or their contact is not something they are worried about honoring.

The Mayberry's team was FANTASTIC! We moved from Moraine to Oakwood and had many large items and small doorframes. They were so friendly and SO good at their job. They made the move seamless, smooth and they were so professional. All of our items made it safe and sound to our new home and they even helped move around items that the previous owner left. They finished under the estimated time and went above and beyond. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
