First time hiring "professional" movers to move our home and I would much rather have given the money to my friends. nothing about this was professional. I had to give advice multiple times on how to get an item through a doorway or hallway. They got my refrigerator stuck in two different doorways in my new home because they didn't have the tools or knowledge to take the fridge doors off to make it easier to move. it took them all day and two trips to move only the large furniture items and maybe 20 boxes from a 1400 sqft home, this is after I had disassembled everything before they arrived. The only redeeming quality is that the claims process was simple and they refunded me a significant chunk of money for shattering my 55 inch TV and damaging multiple other items in my new home as well as using and losing MY tools. My friends are better movers and would have been much more deserving and gentle.

Edit: When writing this review I was in communication to have some scratches in my wood flooring fixed due to the move. The owner has since ceased communication and will not respond to any email. Use at your own risk and assume you will be liable for damages to your home.

After negative experiences with other movers, we're glad we found Kettering Moving. We used them once for a local move in Dayton and a second time to move out of state after we retired. Both moves went very smoothly. Ken was up front and easy to work with. Fred and his crew were efficient, hardworking and careful with our stuff. Highly recommend.

Ken came out give us our initial quote and advice on what would be best for our state to state move. He came out a few days prior to evaluate what we had packed and gave us some tips to have a few things more secure. Fred and his team showed up as scheduled. They were all very professional and took care loading our boxes. They listened to how we wanted things unloaded and assembled at the new location. They were prompt to arrive as scheduled, unloaded as we discussed and made record time. So far, nothing is we have seen has been damaged and it was unloaded carefully. We received the final invoice and it was less than quoted! I highly recommend them!

We hired this company to move my mother-in-law's home into storage. First of all, we asked for 3 movers and they sent 2 guys who are here right now...and this was a huge mistake! These guys are disrespectful, unprofessional and careless. They have done nothing but complain about how much stuff there is to move, how heavy things are and how much work it is. They have disappeared several times for anywhere from 10-20 minutes only to be found in the truck on their phones and smoking. They also were talking on the phone WHILE in the home! Is this what we are paying for They dropped an entire dolly full of things down the stairs, (16 steps), including a nightstand which broke...and they weren't going to say a word until I caught them and asked. They came unprepared and tried to walk into a room they shouldn't have been in to grab my husband's drill without asking. They didn't wrap a single item. they were very rough with her belongings, slamming around boxes and other items and had to continously be told what to move into the truck. They used very foul language in front of me that I refuse to repeat, they bicker back n forth and as soon as my husband would leave to do something, they seemed to relax as if I was deaf and blind to their actions. Also, the move took forever, longer than any move I've ever been involved in.
This company is cheaper for a reason. There are plenty of other companies who are more professional and less careless, I highly recommend you not hire this company!!

Very slow. I've moved several times before and it's never taken this long. We asked for no used boxes and were told that was what they had available. The guys loading were great and deserve there own 5 star rating. One in particular younger guy packing the truck is a very hard worker. As for the company it might be best to read other reviews of other companies first.
